The Medical Group Office (MGO) is located at 100 Falls Canyon Road, up the street from Avalon’s City Hall on the bottom level of the hospital.
Catalina Island Medical Group serves Catalina Island’s medical needs with full-time physicians and nurse practitioners and is supported by the ancillary hospital resources including diagnostic imaging, therapy services, nutritional counseling and clinical laboratory services.
The Medical Group’s scheduled hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Evening appointments may also be available. Please call (310) 510-0096 for an appointment. When you call, it will be helpful for you to give the receptionist your name, phone number, insurance information, date of birth and the reason for your visit. If your medical needs are of an emergency nature, Catalina Island Medical Center’s emergency room is available at all times.
Please bring the following to your appointment:
Proof of insurance
A list of any questions you may have for your provider
Any co-payment and/or deductible for which you are responsible
A list of any medications you are taking
If you are under 18, you will need parental permission
If your appointment is for a work-related injury, you will need written authorization from your employer which should include your employer’s Workers Compensation insurance information
Once you arrive at the medical group, you will be seen by your scheduled provider. Every attempt will be made to make sure you are seen at your appointed time, but please understand that emergencies may cause a delay. Other patients may have appointments with a different provider, and may be called to their appointment before you, even if you arrived before they did.
