At CIMC we understand the strong connection between physical and emotional health.
Research shows that of all patients seen in primary care clinics, 20% have a diagnosable mental illness at any one time. Mental health conditions such as depression can complicate and slow recovery from physical health problems.
Mental health assessments and therapy are provided at CIMC by Dawn Sampson, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, for adults, children and families. These services can help people struggling with such issues such as anxiety, depression, adjustment to major life issues, grief, trauma, anger and stress management, substance abuse and children’s behavioral problems.
Therapy services are provided on-site, and psychiatry services are available through CIMC’s tele-medicine program.
